Mutable Fat(e)

2007 / 2010

Research exploration work in process. Collaboration with Dr. Tanya Dahms, biochemist, U of R. Dr. Dahms research involves lipids (fat). Surface scans of lipids (fat) are collected using an AFM (Atomic Force Microscope). These scans have been turned into patterns using an image editing software. These scientific images of fat become the surfaces or skins of our everyday.

Corpulence 2009:
Test tubes, glass slides, E.coli and HEKtotal lipid bi-layer scans using AFM imaging technology. From the project Mutable Fat(e) an art/science collaboration with Dr. Tanya Dahms.
