Blood Galaxy portrays human blood – the vital fluid of life – as a complex system, a mysterious galaxy, an inner space, as vast as the cosmos. It is created from my own pool of blood scans of blood samples donated by a diverse group of people and imaged using a scanning electron microscope, magnified 5,000-15,000X. The near objects are red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and unidentified artefacts. The distant objects are part of the same blood galaxy.
